Doughnuts and Churros

From: £120.00

At Delightful Tea, we think a proper doughnut is one made with yeast that has time to rise and develop great texture and flavour. Come and learn to make proper yeasted doughnuts in this completely hands-on class. Students will prepare an enriched dough, before fermenting, shaping and proving the doughnuts. Each student will also fry and fill their own doughnuts with jam and custard.  Also covered are churros, a well-loved Spanish variation on the doughnut, which will be made individually by each student, before piping, frying and coating.

There will be a demonstration of how to make a rich dipping sauce to accompany the churros too.

Safety: Hot oil is used for frying during this class, so please note that all students will be closely supervised during this stage.

All course bookings are subject to our Terms and Conditions, including our cancellation policy. Please ensure that you are able to attend the date you book, as transfers and refunds will not be offered, but you are most welcome to send someone in your place. This policy is to enable us to run our courses viably and therefore maintain our high quality standards – to explain, if a student cancels and transfers to a new date and we can’t resell their cancelled place then it means we lose out on making that place available e.g. that’s one student taking two spaces but only paying for one – it just doesn’t add up!

On the rare occasion that we must cancel / reschedule a course students will be offered an alternative date or a full refund without question.

What our clients say about this course

Everything about the Delightful Tea is excellent. The website and booking system is intuitive and easy to use. The location and parking are easy to find and convenient. The tutor was professional, knowledgeable, but friendly, patient and approachable with it. The course content was exactly as described, fun and appropriate. The pace of the course was just right too. Even the other students were lovely. Also excellent value for money.
We made 6 amazing filled doughnuts. Proper doughnuts. Like the ones your parents used to buy when you were a kid, not the mass produced ones available today. We also made churros, which were little bites of heaven. I cannot recommend the school and this course high enough. I will certainly be returning to do one of the bread making courses. Well done to everyone involved :)
