My 12 year old son and I had a great morning at the Delightful Tea Bake School on a Mum and Child event making shortbread and scones - rather yum to say the least! Sarah is very friendly yet totally professional as was her assistant. Highly recommended.
Doughnuts and Churros
At Delightful Tea, we think a proper doughnut is one made with yeast that has time to rise and develop great texture and flavour. Come and learn to make proper yeasted doughnuts in this completely hands-on class.
In the super small session of only FOUR students, each individually will prepare an enriched dough from scratch, before fermenting, shaping and proving their doughnuts.
Students will fry, fill and finish their doughnuts individually too, giving proper real-life experience of how to make sure they are perfect.
Also included are churros, a well-loved Spanish variation on the doughnut, which will be made individually by each student, before piping, frying and coating.
There will be a demonstration of how to make a rich dipping sauce to accompany the churros too.
Safety: Hot oil is used for frying during this class, so please note that all students will be closely supervised during this stage.
It’s our smallest group class to ensure it is safe and comfortable for our participants, and to ensure a truly bespoke experience!
