Attended the Afternoon treats course in March with 2 friends, was a lovely way to spend some time with them and learn/hone our baking skills in a relaxed atmosphere. We had such a laugh, and got our goodies to take home too. Thanks Sarah!
Introduction to Macaron Making
Macarons (sometimes referred to in the UK as macaroons) are notorious for being difficult to master and patissiers and pastry chefs the world over take many years to perfect their skills. Our class is designed to help you try all the core techniques so that you have the confidence to recreate our recipes in your own kitchen – with a little practice you will be a pro!
You will make your own batch of macaron paste and Italian meringue, choose your favourite colour , before combining, piping and preparing them for baking. You will fill your macarons with a selection of fillings prepared and demonstrated for you, such as a chocolate ganache and a soft fluffy buttercream, which you can flavour if you like.
All course bookings are subject to our Terms and Conditions, including our cancellation policy. Please ensure that you are able to attend the date you book, as transfers and refunds will not be offered, but you are most welcome to send someone in your place. This policy is to enable us to run our courses viably and therefore maintain our high quality standards – to explain, if a student cancels and transfers to a new date and we can’t resell their cancelled place then it means we lose out on making that place available e.g. that’s one student taking two spaces but only paying for one – it just doesn’t add up!
On the rare occasion that we must cancel / reschedule a course students will be offered an alternative date or a full refund without question.

What our clients say about this course
What can I say? An absolutely fantastic class what a hidden gem that was found. Lucky gift brought by my fiancé and I enjoyed every second of it. Macaroons were perfect and tasted fab. Sarah was an excellent teacher and so easy going, helpful and made me feel relaxed. Thanks also to Annie for the support and encouragement. Great place I will be back
I attended a fantastic macaron course last week. All my previous attempts had been disasters but Sarah gave me lots of tips and advice that helped me to produce macarons and a variety of fillings. The true test was making them at home - and the proof was in the pudding as I was able to follow Sarah's tuition to make a successful batch on my own. Thank you - highly recommended.
Had the pleasure to meet the lovely Sarah who fixed a lifelong ambition of mine. "How to make the perfect macaroons". Well my family were extremely impressed with the box I bought home. Can only recommend the baking school. Very professional, hands on and lovely tuition. Can't wait for my next one.
