I have really enjoyed my experience at Delightful Tea Bake School, everything from the teaching to the venue of the bake school was without fault! I have come away feeling that I have learnt a lot more just through one class and I hope to go back many times for many more courses in different things to expand on my skills in the kitchen! Chocolate Truffle Making & Tempering for Beginners
Join us and learn to make delicious Belgian chocolate truffles in this half day class. During the course you will prepare your own batch of decadent milk chocolate ganache from scratch under the watchful eye of Liz, our experienced pastry chef. She’ll help you understand all the processes and then you’ll get hands on making, piping and shaping your truffles; milk and dark chocolate varieties.
Liz will also share her knowledge of the challenging art of chocolate tempering, explaining why and how we temper chocolate. You will individually work to temper your own batch of chocolate which you will then use to finish your treats.
This class is designed for students who are new to chocolate or have had minimal experience but want to learn tips and tricks to develop their basic skills. It is fully hands on and there are some technical skills to master, but it’s a fun and relaxed session, perfect to share with friends!
Due to some of the processes and variables like the weather, the finish time of this class can vary a little. We suggest that students bring a packed lunch if they feel they might need it. There will be chocolate truffles to sample and a little home baked treat provided too.
All course bookings are subject to our Terms and Conditions, including our cancellation policy. Please ensure that you are able to attend the date you book, as transfers and refunds will not be offered, but you are most welcome to send someone in your place. This policy is to enable us to run our courses viably and therefore maintain our high quality standards – to explain, if a student cancels and transfers to a new date and we can’t resell their cancelled place then it means we lose out on making that place available e.g. that’s one student taking two spaces but only paying for one – it just doesn’t add up!
On the rare occasion that we must cancel / reschedule a course students will be offered an alternative date or a full refund without question.

Belgian chocolate truffles / chocolate tempering / piping and finishing skills
£75 per person
Who does this class suit:
Beginners +. This is a hands-on class which is not suitable for under 14s. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult booked on the same course
Full Day - 10am - 2.30pm approximately. There will be short breaks rather than a full lunch break during this course due to the processes involved; we recommend students bring along a light packed lunch which can be eaten during these periods. Please note that finish times depend on the size and speed of the group overall, so occasionally may finish a little earlier or later than advertised
Students take home all they’ve made on the day and all packaging is supplied; students may wish to bring along a cool bag if desired. Fees also include an apron to use during the lesson; recipe sheets; complimentary refreshments and a little freshly baked snack
