Chocolate Truffle Making and Tempering for Beginners

Join us and learn to make delicious Belgian chocolate truffles in this half day class. During the course you will prepare your own batch of decadent milk chocolate ganache from scratch under the watchful eye of Liz, our experienced pastry chef. She’ll help you understand all the processes and then you’ll get hands on making, piping and shaping your truffles; dark chocolate and some white chocolate varieties.

Liz will also share her knowledge of the challenging art of chocolate tempering, explaining why and how we temper chocolate. You will individually work to temper your own batch of chocolate which you will then use to finish your treats, plus using moulds to create shaped solid chocolates too.

This class is designed for students who are new to chocolate or have had minimal experience but want to learn tips and tricks to develop their skills. It is fully hands on and there are some technical skills to master, but it’s a fun and relaxed session, perfect to share with friends!

Due to some of the processes and variables like the weather, the finish time of this class can vary a little. Please bring a packed lunch or any snacks you might need.
