A quintessentially British teatime bake! Bake a delicious, moist sponge completely from scratch before filling it with fresh cream and homemade strawberry jam.

A lovely class for an aspiring baker, but also great fun for more confident bakers to enjoy together, so perhaps bring a long your friends for your own mini Bake Off!
This class runs during the British strawberry season only, typically late May – early September, Mother Nature dependent! Check out our calendar for dates.
All course bookings are subject to our Terms and Conditions, including our cancellation policy. Please ensure that you are able to attend the date you book, as transfers and refunds will not be offered, but you are most welcome to send someone in your place. This policy is to enable us to run our courses viably and therefore maintain our high quality standards – to explain, if a student cancels and transfers to a new date and we can’t resell their cancelled place then it means we lose out on making that place available e.g. that’s one student taking two spaces but only paying for one – it just doesn’t add up!
On the rare occasion that we must cancel / reschedule a course students will be offered an alternative date or a full refund without question.

What our clients say about this course
Sarah and Annie were absolutely fantastic at helping us ease into learning to make a classic Victoria sponge and also the jam to go in it too. The instruction and advice Sarah gave were easy to understand and helpful. We booked this course for my dad's 60th birthday present and we are so pleased we did, dad thoroughly enjoyed himself and delightful tea went the extra mile to make his birthday even more special.
THANK YOU SARAH AND ANNIE!
The course was informal, fun and I picked up a lot of hints and tips, you got to chat with like minded people and it was very social. As I am Gluten intolerant my recipe was tailored to) me which was also of interest for the other participants. Sarah is a fantastic tutor and has a wealth of knowledge, she includes everyone in the group and makes it an enjoyable yet informative experience
