Victoria Sponge and Jam-Making (SEASONAL, June – September only)

A quintessentially British teatime bake! Completely hands on, you’ll make a delicious, moist sponge completely before filling it with fresh cream and your own homemade strawberry jam. Each student will have their own stand mixer and induction hob to make their delicious bake and preserves independently.

A lovely class for an aspiring baker, but also great fun for more confident bakers to enjoy together, so perhaps bring a long your friends for your own mini Bake Off!

This class runs during the British strawberry season only, to get the best quality fruit and therefore the most delicious jam!

For younger guests (aged 9+) we recommend working alongside the adult accompanying them. You will still each make cakes and jam to take home but will share your equipment. Please enter the age of your younger guest in the notes when booking so we can contact you before you attend.

Course Details

What's Covered:
Classic vanilla sponge with whipped cream / British strawberry jam

£65 per person. Pay in full today or contact us at to pay £32.50 now and the balance 14 days before attendance!

Who does this class suit:
Beginners. This is a hands-on class not recommended for under 10s, however if you wish to bring a younger guest, please contact us to discuss. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult attending the course

Half Day - 10am - 1pm approximately. There is no lunch break during this course


What’s Included:
Tuition; all equipment and ingredients; apron to use during the lesson; recipe sheets; lots of helpful hints, tips and baking advice; complimentary refreshments and a chance to taste some freshly baked produce. Students take home everything they have made on the day. Lunch is not included but we can make suggestions for places where students can find a range of food options
