I had so much fun at the Hello Cupcake course in June. The length of the course is just perfect to allow us to practice making our delicate creations and Sarah is such a great teacher, explaining why we do things in certain ways. I've definitely been bitten by the baking bug and will be back soon - My eye is on the Victoria Sponge course next!! xx
Cake Decorating and Modelling – Key Skills with Xenia’s Cake Creations Tutorials
During this full day session, Xenia Robeson will show you all the tricks of the trade, including filling and crumb coating sponge we provide for you, covering a cake drum and sponge to a professional finish. You will also work on a gorgeous cake topper, learning Xenia’s flawless techniques!
Xenia is a professional cake decorator and sugar artist, specialising in sugar paste modelling skills. Since launching her business in 2015, she has designed stunning cakes for all occasions to her thrilled clients and has also taught extensively via her online tutorials and face-to-face classes. We are delighted to welcome her to Delightful Tea Bake School and excited to give our students to chance to learn her fantastic skills.
Students will work on 6 inch cake, using sponges we provide – there is no baking on this course. Each student will take home their completed cake, boxed and ready to eat or give as a gift. No experience is required to attend this course, but students with some previous knowledge looking to hone their skills would definitely benefit from attending. Should you be unsure about whether the course is suitable for you, please do get in touch.
All course bookings are subject to our Terms and Conditions, including our cancellation policy. Please ensure that you are able to attend the date you book, as transfers and refunds will not be offered, but you are most welcome to send someone in your place. This policy is to enable us to run our courses viably and therefore maintain our high quality standards – to explain, if a student cancels and transfers to a new date and we can’t resell their cancelled place then it means we lose out on making that place available e.g. that’s one student taking two spaces but only paying for one – it just doesn’t add up!
On the rare occasion that we must cancel / reschedule a course students will be offered an alternative date or a full refund without question.

Who does this class suit:
Beginners and improvers. This is a completely hands-on course not suitable for under 18s
Full Day - 10am - 4.30pm approximately, including a short break for lunch
Tuition; all equipment and ingredients; a sponge cake to work on during the course; an apron to use during the lesson; recipe sheets; lots of helpful hints, tips and advice; complimentary refreshments. Students take home their finished cake. Lunch is not included but students can bring a packed lunch or we can offer suggestions for food options locally
