Buche de Noel (Yule Log)
Come along an learn to make this wonderfully decadent chocolate Christmas table centrepiece! The buche de Noel or Yule log is the perfect alternative to the standard Christmas cake and puddings – no dried fruit in sight! Using only high-quality chocolate to produce something truly naughty but nice for the festive season.
Students will individually prepare and bake a delicate sponge, fill it with fresh cream and raspberries and then cover and finish it with a rich chocolate ganache. The tutor will demonstrate how to make chocolate ganache; students will be provided with ganache to work with to ensure it is the perfect consistency for an indulgent finish.
Students will also make their own simple festive sugar decorations to adorn their finished cake.

Who does this class suit:
Beginners +. This is a hands-on class which is not ideally suited to under 12s. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult booked on the same course
10am - 3pm approximately, including a few short breaks. Please note that finish times depend on the speed of the group overall, so occasionally may finish a little earlier or later than advertised
Students take home all they’ve made on the day and all packaging is supplied; students may wish to bring along a cool bag if desired. Fees also include an apron to use during the lesson; recipe sheets; complimentary refreshments and a chance to taste some freshly baked produce. Lunch is not included, so we recommend students bring a packed lunch. There are also options to purchase lunch close by
